Argos Quick Pay Machine Could Cause Physical and Financial Harm

Three visits to a local Argos. Three complaints. Each time staff treated a broken or unsafe Quick Pay machine as a nuisance rather than a problem that could take someone’s money or, in a worst case, cause injury.

Self-service hardware in a shop is still a computer attached to a payment system. If it misbehaves, it should be switched off — not left for the next customer to discover.
