Dr Alice Roberts asked why Bounty representatives were allowed on maternity wards. The concern was not the free pack. It was the data gathered from parents at a moment when saying no is hard, and where that data then travels.

Consumer databases do not look like CCTV. They look like a form on a clipboard. The effect is the same: a record you did not really choose to create.
